PRIZE MONEY TO STUDENTS TEAM

Five member team from Electronic Faculty, University of Nis, with PhD Zoran Jovanovic as mentor, the team that worked at the project – Introduction of wireless system of signalization management - Railway Crossroad Palilula` - was welcomed at the reception by the president of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic who awarded them with prize money in the amount of 50, 000 RSD. Danijela Maravic, coordinator of PECD programme was also present at the reception.

At the competition for THE BEST TECHNOLOGICAL INOVATION OF SERBIA in 2011, student team of Electronic Faculty from Nis, Aleksandar Najdanovic, Milos Andonovic, Dusan Todorovic, Miodrag Golubovic and Valentino Nikolic all worked on the project Introduction of wireless system of signalization management `Railway Crossroad Palilula`. This team was announced the best student team in the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska and got the certificate and `Dr Miroslav Despotovic` honor plaque. This significant award was given to the students of Nis University by the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Serbia. The contest for the election for the best technological innovations in Serbia has been organized for seven years by theMinistry of education, sport and science of the Republic of Serbia and is supported by Commerce Chamber of Serbia, technical realization by the Faculty of technical sciences in Novi Sad, media support - RTS and in cooperation of the Institution for the protection of intellectual property of Serbia.

The aim of this competition is a promotion of innovational capacities and entrepreneur climate in Serbia as help to potential and existing `high- tech` entrepreneurs that are ready and capable for individual ideas and invents to turn into market valorized innovations.

Group of the students of Electronic faculty of Nis is supported by the Programme Partnership for education and community development` (PECD programme) and company Phillip Morris Operations A. D. and Palilula Municipality created the wireless system of signalization that made easier most used crossroad - Palilula crossroad railway. After the installation of the system on June 1 this year, further management and technical sustainability was taken over by Public enterprise Directorate for City Land Development.
